The Inverness Court Hotel was built at the turn of the century. Commissioned, reputedly by Edward VII as a private residence for his mistress Lilly Langtry, to the French Architect Charles Mews who had just completed the Construction of the London Ritz.
To this day, historian and architect alike frequent the building to sample the splendour of Londons most private Theatre Bar, its panelled drawing rooms and craftsmanship.
The hotel is situated moments from Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and all London's main tourist attractions, and just a few steps away from Queensway underground. The busy Whitleys shopping centre is located in the street parallel.
