The independently-owned, 4 star London Bridge Hotel, which opened in Autumn '98, is in an ideal location on the edge of the City of London.
The hotel site has a heritage which dates back to Roman Britain when the area was already at the centre of links with Europe - both in commerce and communications.
Significant archaeological findings unearthed during redevelopment are now with the Museum of London.
The site was most recently a former telephone exchange and its 1915 fa?ade has been restored as a local landmark for the community.
The hotel has 138 air conditioned bedrooms with a range of facilities which make this an attractive choice for business as well as leisure guests.
All the rooms have satellite TV, voice mail telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, safe (large enough to take a laptop computer), modem/fax port and secondary glazing in rooms which face onto the street.
There are six rooms for the disabled, two non-smoking floors, an executive floor, deluxe rooms and executive kings and three suites.
The hotel provides five conference rooms for meetings or private dining for 8-100 people. All are available with the latest audio-visual equipment and ISDN lines for video conferencing.
The newly opened Borough Bar & Dining is a spacious, contemporary bar offering a wide choice of drinks and excellent food in a relaxing atmosphere. Open 7 days a week.
In addition to our new bar, we are also pleased to announce the opening, in mid September, of Georgetown. This is an ?authentic? restaurant offering a return to those gracious colonial days. Succulent flavours of Malaysian, Chinese and Indian cuisine - all under one roof, appealing to everyone?s taste. Open daily for lunch and dinner to both hotel guests and non-residents.
The hotel dining room on the lower ground floor serves breakfast daily.
A state-of-the-art gymnasium is in an adjacent building with direct access from the hotel. Guests can use the club free of charge. Local companies and non residents can apply for membership.
