This tour begins with a delightful morning tour to romantic Heidelberg. Known as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, Heidelberg lies on the River Neckar and it is an everlasting favorite among international tourists. Explore of the world famous castle (partially in ruins) with its impressing Gothic and Renaissance buildings. We show you the large courtyard, the mighty terrace and one of the largest wine barrels in the world, the “Heidelberg Tun”. Take a walk in the medieval town center and marvel at the Old Bridge, Karlstor, the Church of the Holy Spirit, House of the Knights with its precious Renaissance facade and small lanes with half-timbered houses. The city hosts the oldest university of Germany. Our journey will lead us to Nuremberg in the afternoon, the capital of Franconia with a very eventful history: a mighty center of European trade and commerce during the Middle Ages, a focus scene of the "Third Reich" and nowadays a vivid city. Come to see the mighty Imperial Castle (Kaiserburg), residence of the Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. Visit the House of Albrecht Dürer, the most famous son of the city and one of “the greatest European artists”. See the Old City Hall, the main market square
site oft he famous Christkindl’s market. Marvel at the „beautiful fountain“, the church of St. Lorenz, the Church of Our Lady with the „Running Men“ clockwork and the Crafts Yard. The historic part of Nuremberg is a fascinating testimony of medieval culture, art and architecture. Take a rest in between and taste the famous Nuremberg fried sausages and Gingerbread.
